Corporate Donation Matching

Many employers will match charitable gifts—sometimes dollar-for-dollar or more. Submitting a match can double (or even triple) the impact of your donation to Pat’s rides supporting cancer and Alzheimer’s research and care.

Find your employer’s matching portal

  1. Search your company intranet for matching gifts, gift match, or charitable giving.
  2. Check HR/Benefits tools for a link to vendors like Benevity, CyberGrants, YourCause/Blackbaud, or Millie.
  3. If you can’t find it, email HR/Benefits (subject: “Charitable gift matching”) asking for:
    • Whether the company matches employee donations
    • The link to the matching portal and your eligibility
    • Deadlines (many require submission within 90 days)

Tips & FAQs

Timing: Some employers require match requests within a set window (e.g., 90 days). Submit early to avoid deadlines.

Verification: If the charity needs to verify your gift, they’ll contact you or the employer. Keep your donation receipt handy.

Payroll giving: If offered, you can direct gifts and matches through payroll using the EINs and designations above.
